Kedarkantha Trek (3810m) is one of the most loved and chosen trek of Uttrakhand. This is trek is much known for its pictorial views especially in winters. Kedarkantha Trek camping in winter 2021/22 is fun and easy as anyone with little guidance and supervision can experience this wonderful region. This trek lies in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park in north Uttarakhand with scenic beauty where the trail passes through the forests of pine, oak & deodar, small water streams and mountains that stand high in front.

Kedarkantha trek package by Shikhar Travels start with the arrival at Dehradun. There will be one night stay here as the next day we will head to Sankri village which is the gateway to many treks in this region. This mountain journey will be 180km long so we’ll have halts for lunch and refreshments. If we’ll start early morning from Dehradun then we can easily reach Sankri by afternoon. The village is quite small by you’ll see many trekkers in the village.

The trek can be started after breakfast to the first camping sight, Juda ka talab. This trail is of 4 kms, crossing village Saur, some water stream and pine forest. Here trail goes steep for some meters, some zigzag path and reaches to the wide ridge and then leads to Juda ka Talab.

Later it will reach to a huge open ground that is surrounded by majestic snow peaks of Swargarohini, Poonch & Kalang. The final trail to our destination has to start early as it is 6-7 hrs long. So if possible, group can start in dark as the sunrise from the top looks really beautiful and mesmerizing.
