Kedarkantha trek package by Shikhar Travels start with the arrival at Dehradun. There will be one night stay here as the next day we will head to Sankri village which is the gateway to many treks in this region. This mountain journey will be 180km long so we’ll have halts for lunch and refreshments. If we’ll start early morning from Dehradun then we can easily reach Sankri by afternoon. The village is quite small by you’ll see many trekkers in the village.

The trek can be started after breakfast to the first camping sight, Juda ka talab. This trail is of 4 kms, crossing village Saur, some water stream and pine forest. Here trail goes steep for some meters, some zigzag path and reaches to the wide ridge and then leads to Juda ka Talab.

Best Snow Trek of India Here you’ll see beautiful snow-capped peaks surrounding the place including the famous Swargarohini Peak. The final trail to our destination has to start early as it is 6-7 hrs long. So if possible, group can start in dark as the sunrise from the top looks really beautiful and mesmerizing. Here you’ll find a temple of Lord Ganesha near the lake and here people believe in worshiping power.

This luxury campsite is the property of Shikhar Travels with all the amenities that are required. There will be a night stay here as the journey was quite long. The trekking day will start after breakfast where the team will be driving till Sangamchatti for 40 mins and from here the trek starts. Today we’ll be stopping at a remote place Bhewra which is our first campsite near a beautiful waterfall. This day the trek will be for nearly 4-5 hrs where it will pass through deep forest. The next day we’ll be full of excitement as the trek will finally take us to the most talked place, Dodital. This day will slowly gain altitude as the trek passes through a beautiful deep valley. There will a halt in Majhi for lunch where you can also witness beautiful small shepherds’ huts and you might see some sheep as well. You will also have a splendid view of Darwa Top which is another beautiful destination of this trip. But we have Dodital first, so continuing on the trail we’ll finally reach one of the most beautiful Himalayan Lakes surrounded by beautiful snow-covered forest. It was good 4-5 hrs of walking so you can now relax, fresh up, visit the temple, take a walk around and enjoy the bonfire at your pre-set camps. Also, don’t forget to spot the trout in Lake.

After admiring this beautiful lake view, will start an early morning Dodital to Darwa Top trek which is 5 km and will take nearly 2-3 hrs (depending on the pace). With a spellbinding view of the Himalayas around, we’ll climb further to the meadow at an altitude of 4150 m. This view from Darwa Top is so mesmerizing that each direction has its own beauty. After enjoying the view and having lunch, we’ll head back to Dodital campsite and enjoy the rest of the day around the lake and if lucky with clear sky then you can gaze at stars.

The last day of the trek will start early as we’ll be heading back directly to Sangamchatti. The trail will be easy in moving down and will not take much time as it took earlier while climbing. Soon we’ll be on the connecting road from here we’ll be driving back to Shikhar Nature Resort. Here you can relax for the night and can enjoy the evening by the riverside. After this next day, the team will take the tour further till Dehradun and will drop as the departure is scheduled.
